On February 6th, 2008, we opened our own store at 10139-112 Street, in downtown
Edmonton. (On Sept 9th, 2009 we changed the name of our shop from "The Cocoa Room" to "Kerstin's Chocolates").
What do we sell at the store? For starters, we have freshly made hot drinking chocolate available to drink in the store or take out. We will always carry our full line of Chocophilia™ Bars, Chocophilia™ Cocoa Nib Caviar, Chocophilia™ Drinking Chocolate mixes, truffles, melt-aways, and other custom confections.
Our weekly specials are always listed on our blog!
We follow all of this with Edmonton's best variety of imported gourmet chocolate bars, including:

In our book section, you will find many hard to find titles that deal with the history of chocolate, and chocolate making. Finally, we carry some incredible glassware to drink your chocolate out of! Manufactured in Denmark by Bodum, these glasses and chocolatieres will change the way you think about drinking chocolate.
Kerstin's Chocolates is not just a place to buy chocolate. We want to make our store a gathering place for chocophiles from in or around Edmonton. We will begin offering in March of 2008 monthly chocolate appreciation classes and tastings (think wine tastings, only with chocolate). In April 2008 we will begin holding small chocolate-making workshops in our kitchen and teaching tempering techniques, molding and other chocolate making skills.
To quote Kerstin: "There are three big differences between our chocolates and the majority of chocolates out there. We use only single-bean aromatic varieties from the top-end plantations in the world. We make our own products by hand for the best quality control and freshness. And we are exploring ways to connect with our local food culture by incorporating local products like organic Evans cherries grown just outside of Edmonton, or locally grown hemp hearts into our recipes,"
