Easter Special:

The Easter Bunny gave some special decorative eggs to 10
of our friends in and around Edmonton. We need your help to find them! Here are the hints you will
need to
find the eggs:
1) Patrick and Roz have some of the easter eggs nested in their orchids.
2) Pam has some of the easter eggs at the meal assembly station.
3) Poul and Chad have some of the easter eggs under the Clover machine.
4) Cally has some of the easter eggs near the infusions.
5) Cindy has some of the easter eggs stuffed between the pyrohy and the
sour cream.
6) Curtis has some of the easter eggs in his humidor.
7) Jennifer has some of the easter eggs in the espresso next to the
gelato.
8) Michael has some easter eggs in his haven.
9) David and Ann have some easter eggs wired to their cups.
10) LindaBeth, Phil and Ashley have easy access to their eggs.
The reward for for locating 3 eggs
that are different colors, and bringing them
back to Kerstin is one of the new special Easter-themed
truffle bars from Zotter. If you are a sleuth and can locate 6 eggs
that are different
colors and bring them back to Kerstin, she will give you a
wonderful Easter
basket (containg a handmade chocolate egg filled with fresh cinnamon
marshmallow or dulce de leche, two Cluizel eggs and more).
Note: Each
of the people mentioned in the clues will only give you one egg! To get them
to give it to
you, you will have to mention the secret password,
"Chocophilia". If you already
have certain colors, ask for a different one to avoid getting
duplicates! Lastly: only one prize per person will be awarded.
Have some
fun with it! The hunt begins on Tuesday, April 7th. Find the eggs and
bring them
to The Cocoa Room before 5pm, Saturday April 11th to pick up
your prize.

have been busy creating some uniquely beautiful chocolate eggs this
year, and we think that they will be a big hit with kids and adults
alike! Here is our list of seasonal specials:

- A large Chocophilia Venezulean 38% milk
chocolate egg filled with Valrhona pearls. ($24.50)
- A large Chocophilia Venezulean 65% dark
chocolate egg filled cinnamon latte meltaways. ($24.50)
- Large 350g Easter Bunnies made from pure
Venezuela 49% dark milk chocolate. ($42.00)
- A hand painted gold/bronze flower patterend egg
made from Valrhona Manjari 67% dark chocolate. ($15.75)
- A smaller dark chocolate egg filled with fresh
cinnamon marshmallows. ($5.95)
- A smaller milk chocolate egg filled with fresh
vanilla marshmallows and dulce de leche. ($5.95)
- Easter baskets containing an assortment the
above ($13.50 and up)
Finally, we have three flavors of organic, fair trade truffle bars from
Zotter of Austria ($7.25 each):
- Honey
Bunny: White Chocolate with Honey crunch

- Easter
Fire: Dark milk chocolate with egg
liqueur-chilli cream (contains alcohol)

- Waltzing
Easter: Milk Chocolate filled with strawberry cream

you will love these!
All of these Easter Specials are available right now in The Cocoa Room in limited
quantities. Come in and see them soon.
NOTE: We will be open for our normal hours during Easter except for Good
Friday (April 10th), when we will be open from 10am to 5pm only.

Our Fleur de Sel bar was chosen by Avenue Magazine as one of the 25 best
things to eat in Edmonton! I guess the word is getting out....

news from The Cocoa Room:
We now are making permanently available our line of organic puffed rice
treats for kids. We call them PokeyPines. They are light and fun to eat
and they come in two flavors: Milk Chocolate with cocoa nibs and
Raspberry White Chocolate ($4.75 per box). We also have a
new display case in the shop with lots of new handmade
confections in it (Barks, such as: Rocky Road, Organic Lemon and
Organic Dark Chocolate 72%, Puffed Rice Bark. Peanut Butter cups,
Coconut cups, and Ducle de Leche cups!). We also have a new,
faster way of making our drinking chocolate!
New
Chocolate Tastings and Chocolate Making/Sculpture Workshops Scheduled
Here are the dates for our upcoming events:
Chocolate Tasting
Workshops: April 22nd, May 20th, May 6th
Chocolate Making Workshops: April 30th,
May 14th, May 28th
We are also going to be offering our first
Chocolate Sculpture making workshop on June 25th. You can learn how to
make chocolate sculptures using equipment that you have at home. This
is an advanced workshop, and we strongly reccommend taking one of our
chocolate making workshops first. The
cost is $85.00, and you get to take home your sculpture.
